Apostille services Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen

Apart from providing our clients with fully certified translations, our company also offers document legalisation services, one of which is an Apostille. We can help you obtain an Apostille on documents issued in the UK through our London office, or on documents which were issued in Ireland, through our Dublin office.

What is an Apostille?

An Apostille is an official certificate issued by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and attached to the document in question. It validates the document as genuine and authorises it for use abroad in member states. It confirms the authenticity of the signatures and stamps on the document and provides detailed information on them, including the country and date of issue, and on the person who signed it.

Who needs an Apostille?

You may need an Apostille if you are planning to use your document for official purposes outside the UK and EU. You may also need san Apostille on the translation, consular certification is often a good alternative, especially if you need another Apostille, on the original document. Another option is notarial certification, which validates our company stamps, seals and signatures on the translation.

How much does it cost?

In the UK, an Apostille costs 65£, including safe shipping back to you. If you need us to post it to an address outside the UK, to a country in the EU in will cost 75£.

How do I proceed?

If you would like to get an Apostille on your documents, get in touch with us first to confirm all the details. You can e-mail us on scotland@docsbase.com and let us know what kind of document you need apostilled and where you are planning to be using it. Next you will have to send us the original document to our London office, we recommend that you use recorded delivery for safety.
